Illicit trade blows big holes in governments' budgets and incurs great losses to the legitimate tobacco companies. We fully support regulators, governments and international organisations in seeking to eliminate all forms of illicit tobacco trade.
Pictorial Health Warnings in the GCC
The Gulf Standardisation Organisation (GSO) issued a new technical regulation related to tobacco product packaging (GSO 246/2011) in August 2011, with an implementation date on importation across the GCC as of August 9th 2012.
Youth smoking prevention
We believe that tobacco products are only suitable for adult consumers and do not want children to smoke. We run and support programmes across the region to tackle underage consumption.
